I ain't been round dese parts too long... but I have been in this industry (mortgage) for abour 5 years now. Part of my job duties are to update our rate sheets. It's amazing, I remember just 2 years ago when people with a 535 credit score could walk off with an interest rate in the 7-8% range. Now... you're looking at a 13.5% rate. NUTS!!!<br /><br />Tis amazing how things like this change. Makes me happy about my rate <br /><br />Sean

Some are saying that rates will slide later this year. What are your biggest wigs thinking? When I was 20ish and first thinking about buying homes and stuff, mortgage rates were close to 20% for anybody . . .

My wife is an office manager at a real estate company, and has made similar comments, ee. Glad I'm locked in where I'm at too.
