The cover is for a 1990 model or so !!---But the motor is NOT newer than a 1982 model.---Disc would be in the round hole on top of the motor.--But the disc is missing.

Hello are there any metal tags hanging on the carb should be on the float bowl screw if there is give us that #. If If it's not there and you didn't get it off of the very top by the low speed orifice give me that #.

I remember an aluminum "freeze out "style plug on my 1988 70 hp and clearly had the MODEL # stamped on it... and it was easily seen!!! I forget exactly where it was....if the motor has been repainted, it might be painted over!!!

juuust a little hot to the touch. Nah, might be innocent enough -- looks like a little bit of a Frankenmotor, though. Some paint mismatches. Powerhead might be a replacement.

My cylinder block number 038941matches up to five digits with cylinder head numbers 0389484 for years 1979 to 1984. The previous owners father in law bought the boat and motor used in 1992 when it was one year old so I am told.
The cylinder head number contradicts that. That is the end of that trail.
The carburetor number for the three carburetors 326951 has no association with year of the motor that I can find on BRP. If anyone has any suggestions on this issue they would be appreciated. Thanks all for your input.

A previous post says that this motor is NOT newer than a 1982 , based on the pictures posted.---You have to accept that as true.

Your motor is not a 91 If you go by the head and other info 79-82 probably as close as you are going to get
