Hello, and thanks for reading. My 1998 Formula 280 ss has 5.7 EFI with Bravo 3s. I had no issues at all before winterization. Engines were muffed and fogged. Upon recomissioning, engines started right up and both revved fine with no stumbling. When I shift into forward or reverse both engines die. I also noted that in my trials to get away from the dock, the engine temps were approaching 180, which I believe is to high, so I shut them down and limped back to the slip. I had no overheating issues last year at all. Any troubleshooting help would be appreciated.

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... Is it throttle body Efi, or multi-port,..??

Have ya done any service to the motors before launch,..??

Fuel filters changed,..??
The old ones checked for water, 'n crud,..??

Sounds like it's over-due for a new impeller/ raw water pump rebuild,....

Was the boat winterized in the slip or on a trailer?

Thank you for replying. I have some homework to do. I purchased the boat in October 2015. It was sea trialed and then re-winterized. I am contacting the marina to see exaclty what they did upon winterization.

The 5.7s are EFI.

Thanks again.
