Repeated engine failure

My DT140TC has "crashed" on two seperate ocassions with out either a visual or audible warning. I have been told by some Suziki mechanics that the Suzuke engine has internal designed safety controls that are supposed to preclude the engine from running before major internal damage can occur. Has anyone else experienced similar problems? The engine has less than 200 total certified running hours. The first crash cost me $1,895.00 & this second one is estimated to be $2,500.00 provided the crank shaft is not destroyed.<br />Major Jim
