Sealed gimble bearing ?

Hello all and thanks: It's been quite a while since I installed a gimble bearing in my Volvo sx drive. The new bearing apears to be sealed. It does have a hole that I can align with the grease serk, but I don't see how the grease can get into the bearings. It is a( ***) brand which is a very good bearing. Also the old bearing was installed with the notches on the bearing facing toward the drive, is that right? Thanks Dave -R
