You all have seen the logos and slogans of law enforcement.
You know, "Protect and serve" and "Dedicated to our safety" and all that, but finally a Sheriff's office that is not afraid to tell it like it really is and put it on their cruisers.
My hat is off to all our law enforcement members.
Just have a look.
Here's the story I heard about this photo.

That picture was doctored slightly (the "donuts" line was added by someone's computer... not a very clean job). The other part was actually on the car up until recently when someone in the community complained and it was removed. As the story went, apparently some junior PD official had it applied to the car after hearing his boss jokingly say he'd like to see it on the car. Junior doesn't realize it's a joke (or does he?) and has it done straightway. Apparently it stayed there a week or two before someone complained.

That's the story as I read it off the news a few weeks back.

Catoosa Cnty GA had a Sheriff JD Stewart for years. He's dead now, but back in the late 70's, they drove 4speed TransAms with modified cams! Boy did they 'hit a lick' :D white with gold lettering, scoop coming out of the hood, it was too cool. they were featured in an issue of Hot Rod mag.

i rode in a couple, and had a couple of pics sitting in/standing by them. but i lost all of my photos & school albums in a fire a few yrs later :(

i believe in the 60's JD's guys drove GTO's :)

yep! they had 4 i think, and a few 4dr lemans(?), for hauling off the bad guys. the firebirds had no 'fences' behind the seats ;) they had no lights on the roof, only on the dash and back tray, and would put a hurting on anyone speeding on the freeways around town ;) i know for a fact they'd do 130mph in a hurry :D
