Shipping a 15 foot boat from Florida to California?

Does anyone know what the cheapest method is to ship a boat from FL to CA? Or what the cost might be for a 15 foot boat on a trailer? Freight, train, etc? I am interested in buying an inflatable rib with a trailer. Or would flying out to FL and renting a vehicle to tow it back be economical? I assume either way it'll be somewhere around $1000 at least. Any creative ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

shipping a boat from Belize to New Orleans $2,000 american. Cars shipped from New Oleans to Southern Mich.$1,800. Thats 1,000 miles so if you shipped a boat it would likely run the same milage wise. Call a transport Co. and get prices. If you want to drive it figure your milage there then consider it half that on the way back with the boat. Include hotel, meals.

Its probably just as easy to come out ehre and buy one. Youll be $$ ahead considering you buy a boat than ship it when you can come out buy the boat and save the shipping cost<br /><br />im not sure are you moving out to cali or just visiting and bringing the boat with you.<br /><br />Sometimes there are trucking companies that deadhead back to cali and they will usually give you a better deal also<br /><br />Rob

I got quotes to ship a 16 footer from seattle area to eastern TN. Most wanted 1500 to 1800. My car rental would be 450 and plane ticket around 300.. + fuel.<br /><br />I'm going to try www.uship.com when the time is right since I had to cancel my trip to tow it back.<br /><br />You might get a good deal on uship.com from a trucker traveling empty trying to pay for his gas
