I cleaned the carbs and it ran good the very first time we test it out. From low rpm to wot it picked great. But after we stop and shut off the engine, and about 15 mins later started back up and put it in forward it'll just choke and die. but if i spray carb cleaner in it, then it start to run good again. help me out.

Re: suzuki dt 65 problem

My first inclination is that what you are describing sounds like a carb in need of a rebuild/cleaning. However, you state that you just cleaned the carbs. I have to ask then, how exactly did you clean the carbs. A carb cleaning/rebuild really requires removal, disassembly, cleaning with appropriate solvent, and setting and replacement of the float valve and gaskets. If you did the cleaning properly perhaps you just need to readjust (richen) the idle mixture. The idle air screw on the Suzuki Mikuni carbs meters air, so screwing it in reduces the air and enrichens the mixture.
