Hello
First of all I'm new in boating and do not know a lot about engines.
What is the difference between the Temp guage and water pressure guage. If I have to buy one which one to get?.
Thanks

Need them both, temp. will read overheat condition but you only have a short time to catch it whereas water pressure will tell you if you have flow, but it may be still overheating for some reason. If you had to get onlt one, go with the water pressure as most engines have overheat alarms

I opted for the pressure and it has save me a lot of heart ache since it can tell you when the system is clogged or when it's time to replace the impeller. I did one more trick I measured the water pressure at WOT and then turned the guage so the needle points straight up at WOT. So from now on if it starts dipping below that at WOT I know its time for a change. :D
