Ok, ok, maybe I need to get a life, but that is the most amazing web site I have ever seen.

I zoomed down to a lake 33km NE of San Antonio, Texas. I could see roads, houses, individual trees etc. Unbelievable. Definetly not a map.

Hey snapper, go outside, look up & smile.

Aldo
The map of my area is actualy quite old me thinks... Much of the new direct I-95 to the airport terminal road is'nt shown, and that construction's been going on for quite some time...
I zoomed into my house, which I purchased in 1993. The view does not depict a structure that was there in 1993, therefore my view is older than eleven years.

Although, it was fun to try to find. Thanks :>)
Quite awsome. You can see my Suburban with it's black cargo box. On the other side of the gate, you can see my boat with a brown cover. If someone had been in the pool, you'd a been able to see them.

I tried to find a friends house in Los Angeles. Those pictures were taken in 94/95, were black and white and not near as close as the ones taken in 2002.

http://terraserver.homeadvisor.msn.com/image.aspx?t=4&s=8&x=10494&y=101234&z=10&w=1
Ive been messing with terraserver for a few years, way befor 9/11, you used to be able to zoom closer than you can now, probably because of the terroist threat. I could see a dog in one one time, no more.
johnson-liner.. LubeDude

Your correct, I had forgot about that. I have a CD mapping program from 96 and it really gets into details. IE: a small fishing creek that only locals know about miles from any road. A friend bought the same program 2 years ago and it only gets down to the street level.
but But BUT this is still fun to get a look at where people live. And you can even let the kids see as we arn't looking each others scarey mugs!
