Re: Tilt/Trim
First you need to know if you have a trim sensor on the port side of the transom/gimble bracket, it will be a round plastic piece with 2 black wires going through the transom bracket and into the boat, and are probably not connected to anything on the inside of the boat if boat did not come with trim gauge. If sender is there and you find the two black wires you should have one wire with a female bullet connector and one male, If you have that then look in the main wire harness on the motor and look for the mates, the one wire that goes to the S terminal on the gauge should be Tan or light brown with a white stripe and have a bullet connector that will plug into one of the wires from trim sender, and the other is ground and will also plug into another bullet connector wire found in the harness . But if you don't have the trim sender from the outdrive with 2 wires from the port side (left) then you'll need to get one, there should be a trim limit switch already there on the starboard side also with two black wires but that will be for trim limit and tilt limit (bow up/down on control handle and Black trailer button). I added a trim gauge last year to my boat and it was a plug and play since Wellcraft had prewired for a gauge all I had to do was find the wires that had been taped up into the harness.
