Okay to start off I don't know a thing about boats I do automotive and Marine upholstery by trade and my father-in-law dropped off a boat for me to do to keep me busy, I guess, because my husband just passed away on the 30th of last month. So, to help get myself out of this funk I jumped into building boat seats and upholstering them and I'm nearly done but I need to carpet the boat also. It's an older starcraft and I should have checked it out the floor beforehand. Well cleaning up the floor to lake carpet I noticed a huge hole where the battery set and then while cleaning farther back by the motor I noticed some cracks and I guess what's called the transom. after doing some research I've learned that this is repairable but expensive what I need to know is is this repairable on the boat I'm working on. Is it worth repairing?

Agree, tearing all that out will be messy and expensive. Even more so if your paying to have it done
