I have a 1982 Johnson 50 HP that I would really like to add trim and tilt. I'm looking for suggestions on brands and places to buy. Thanks

Re: trim and tilt for the financially challanged

I've always had good luck with stuff from Cabela's. In their latest marine catalog, they have a T&T for $510 for motors up to 130HP. One for motors 35HP and under for $440. Have you tried an internet search?

Thanks. Yes, I've seen the Cabela's stuff. My local OMC dealer can get me a factory OMC unit for $600. I have found a unit called CMC (Cook Manufacturin Corporation) for about $425.00 from a local marine supply but I would like to know what other recommeded after market units there are. Guess I will search the Internet. Thanks

WBN, Your dealer can still get this!?! Is it New Old Stock(NOS) or is it just a CMC/Panther type add-on sold through OMC/BMC. My info says that this 2 ram system as well as the 1 ram tilt only for this app is long since out of production.

dpminc,
I guess I assumed he was talking about a OMC unit. I have since found a used CMC unit for about $200. I'll double check with my OMC dealer and see what unit they are selling and or suggesting.

I am about to purchase the CMC PT-130 for my Force 125hp engine. This was the best one that I have found and talked to CMC's tech support on the install. Overtons caries them for $429.00 also.

I will be picking it up this weekend. It also has the 6 inches of setback which should help get a little more speed out of it.

Good luck.

Bryan
