posted September 22, 2002 08:43 PM
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
another question as it is tuff being a mechanical tard:)

I have a old 595 minnkota bow mount 36 lbs thrust my question is this when i run it out of the water it turns what I think is way slow I have an 37 lb bow mount motor guide and ran it off the same battery to compare it and the mg turns about twice as fast as the mk! this is surely not right

I have the mk on a 1985 procraft it has a 12v and a 12/24v and a 12v charge position on the switch but it doesn't make any diff what switch pos it is on. On high speed which is 5 it runs about as fast as it should on 2-3.

btw as you can problably tell by my post this is my first bass boat, what does the 12v charge position do on the selector switch?

thnx
mark

Re: trolling motor blues

Just a suggestion:

Pull the prop and be sure there is no wrapped fishing line in there. Enough line can slow things down.
