volvo outboard question?

I cant find out what type of outboard my boat has. There is no number on the outboard itslef outside the boat. The only number that i can find is inside the boat. The number is N0- 1101500702 868003 can anyone tell me what type of outboard it is from these numbers. Or maybe i am looking in the wrong places. thanks

I would assume you're talking about an "Outdrive", not an Outboard.<br /><br />This is an outboard,<br />

<br /><br />These are Volvo Outdrives.<br /> Volvo Outdrive ID Chart <br />Perhaps you can find your drive that way.<br /><br />Another possibility is let us know what engine you have. Volvo uses the engine number to access parts and part numbers for the drives for that engine. Even a year and what kind of engine you have. V8, V6, 4 cylinder. The numbers didn't work at all.

The motor in the boat is a Volvo penta Aq 131 a 4 cylindar. the boat is a 1987 caprice 17.5 ft I am trying to find out what type of outdrive i have bc the motor is no good and it is hard to find the same motor. so i need to see if there is anoter type of volvo penta motor that i can just drop right in the boat and not have to change the gear ratio and exhaust. thanks<br />engine # aq131a867897<br />no- 2200010930-11208
