I would like to know i could use an automotive oil filter on a 260 A volvo penta engine. my automotive mechanic who is also my marine mechanic says that the same oil filter used on a 260A is identical to the same automotive oil filter that a 350 chevy uses. also says the oil filter is produced by same manufacture only that for marine and automotive they are given different parts numbers, though he says he used these filters for years without problem though i would like an opinion if any help please thanks
