Hello again, I have a 1995 Yamaha C75. I just recently replaced the upper shift shaft, and the water pump impeller. Fairly large job for me(had to remove powerhead for shift shaft). Everything went fine, but now I have another question. When I hooked the motor to the hose with the flusher and ran it I had water coming out of a place and I can not remember if it did this before. The water is coming out of an egg shaped hole on the lower front of the lower casing. The shift shaft runs through this hole. There is a small drain on the front of the casing where the lower half(foot) meets the upper half. Water comes out of this drain hole when I turn the water on but do not start the engine. Then when I start the engine the cavity that this drain hole is for, fills up with water and it flows over the top. The pee hole is peeing very strong cool water and all else is fine. Is water suppose to exit out of this chamber? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
