Well, what a morning I've had already.
Son in law calls me this morning and wants me to come look at a truck he has at his lot for it is missing and he can't find the source of the miss.
I go over there about 6:30, had just got home, and met him there to look at this thing.

I am there maybe 15 minutes when this girl comes up to us and ask to see if we could get her dad up.

My SIL, has a car lot with apartments over it that he rents out and this guy is his security guard at night and told me not to worry cause he just got off and was asleep.

So I give it not another thought and go about looking at this truck, a 1964 Chevy 1/2 ton with a nice small block in it that someone had forgot to put a vacuum hose on it's right spot.
Well, anyhow, was sitting there in the garage having a cup of coffee when this girl comes back in a screaming to please get her dad up.
This girl is close to 21 years old I guess and was pretty upset that she could not get her dad up so I ask her how long he had been asleep and she said since 6 the evening before, just sleeping in his chair.

Now this concerned me as it did my SIL, so we went upstairs and sure enough, there he was sitting in his chair with his work clothes on, but he was kinda a different color and was kinda stiff. Yea, he was dead. :(
We called 911 and they sent an ambulance and I also told them to call the coroner, but they said a professional would have to make that call, so I said, okie dokie and we got out of the way.

Not up much on this stuff, but it seems he had been dead for some time.
Anyway, what a way to start the day.
Hope you all's are better.

Yeah, and a good morning to all of you too . . . Wow  :(

When I was in EMT training years ago some would have said that you should've given CPR . . . You cannot pronounce death, so you gotta go to work.

Re: What a morning

Well more info coming in to me this afternoon.
My daughter calls and tells me that the man did have an existing heart condition and that they did find an empty bottle of his medicine on the kitchen counter. Also that his step daughter had just got out of drug rehab for trying to kill herself on his heart medicine.

QC, I know CPR and I know the difference between someone that could benifit from it and someone that needed the coroner  , this guys legs were purple. They say because of him sitting upright that it was where the blood had went. That I do not know.
Life goes on I reckon. But man it does have a way of messing up your morning.
