Lost control and bought a boat this afternoon. Trying to id the motor. 70 hp. 3 cyl MERC. Cowl is like a clam shell opening in the front. Has 1 cyl on each side of the mount that looks like small shock absorbers. Is mounted on a CMC power tilt/ trim bracket that does not look like it would function as a jack plate. Takes some work, best nbrs. I can come up with so far is 6230464 off a rivited plate on the right side of the mount.
Can anyone tell me what I bought? Is only 60 degs. out now so I had to walk away for the evening. Anyone looking for nice cheap boats, get your buns to FL. Down the street is a suprisingly well kept GLASTRON, maby a mid 70s with a chrylser ( who cares?), probably take $200 for it with trailer. Lots of freebys without motors. regards FRED
