I need some opinions on winterizing my motor. I hear that the fuel tank should be drained as well as all the fuel lines. Then I hear that I should keep the fuel tank full. I do run e10 fuel, there is no source for non-ethanol.

If your tanks is almost full a would top it off and put some stabile in it start the motor on muffs and left it run for a while, unhook the fuel lines and let the motor die. This will drain the fuel from the lines. Take the hood off the motor and spray a good fogging in each of the cylinders and put the plugs back in then spray the remainder of it in the intake with the throttle open and you should be in good shape at the start of next season.

A fuel conditioner is a must-reagardless. Your choice.

Make sure the engine gets that conditioner into the fuel system.

I prefer to leave "treated" fuel n the entire system.

Again, your choice.

I assume we are talking about a 2 stroke?

Filling the tank is reccomended, but I've stored plenty half full and never had an issue, even with E10, as long as you stabilize it correctly, but safest is to fill it up. Regular Stabil is useless with E10, you need to use something that treats the Ethanol, such as Star Tron or the Stabil Ethanol treatment. Double treat for winter storage and run it through the entire fuel system, as DJ suggests.

When it's up at NOT is when you spray fogging oil into the intake, if you do that when the engine isn't running, you are not doing anything...except wasting fogging oil. Run it, spray fogging oil in, ususllay 2 second burts per cylinder and then a constant spray until it loads up good or you stall it out, then you know the internals are coated well. I don't bother with removing the plugs and spraying into the cylinders as they will be pretty well coated from burning the fogging oil.

Don't pull the fuel line and run it out of fuel, you are much better off leaving the system full of treated fuel rather than empty or half empty with air in there.

This is and EFI engine. You DO NOT want to run the fuel system dry. You add fuel system stabilizer to the fuel to protect the fuel and the system in which it sits. Fuel pumps can seize up if left dry. If you want to fog an EFI engine DO NOT spray the stuff into the intake as the oil can harm sensors. If the engine is going to sit for just a couple of months it doesn't need to be fogged. Otherwise remove the plugs and give each cylinder a shot.

or simply post the full model number and one of us can actually give you useful information.
not much of the above info is applicable to an F115.
