Hello,
I have a 1967 IMP INCA w/OMC sterndrive that I am wiring up a new ignition switch. The switch is a 4-pole switch with B/I and 2 ACC's. How is the best way to identify the wiring in order to wire this? When the old switch was removed, there was no labeling done so I have no idea what wire goes where. I have a service manual but the color coding does not fit what is in the boat.
The wires that came off the old switch were (1) thick red wire with black collar which I am assuming that goes to the battery, (1) yellow wire, (1) white wire, (1) brown wire that comes off the ammeter, (1) red wire with blue collar, and (1) blue wire with red collar.
Any help would be appreciated.
