Loss of power, totally boggs down after 2200rpm. No alarms, no heat or oil problems, no obvious loose wires or leaky fuel lines. Year 2001 model with <100 hours on it.I will be putting the carbs back on tonight but upon inspection they looked cherry so I don't suspect them. Any thoughts on whats happening to it? Auto-protect features with no audible alarms ect..? Oh yeah, linkages all look good also, This really has me scratching my head.

Do a compression check and if good go to the fuel system. A stuck anti siphon valve ball or a clogged fuel seperator would be the first suspects.

Thanks Ray, I just got back from the boat ramp. It was the carbs I guess. After soaking them overnight in carb cleaner & blowing them out, she runs better than ever.

My 130 had a similar problem as you describe except it wouldn't rev out past 3200rpm. Ended up being a faulty spark plug.
