Hi, I have a Yamaha 2hp outboard ser-number: 2B-6A1-087133 that was working fine when put into dry storage about 7 years ago. <br /><br />Just got it out fully expecting to have starting problems due to stale petrol etc. etc. but found instead that there was no spark. I tried removing the wire to the cut-out switch (thinking that the switch may be faulty/shorted out) and that made no difference. (I tested with a spark tester plugged into the HT lead and not by grounding out the spark plug)<br /><br />Are there any common faults with these engines that could cause these problems, bearing in mind the problem apparently occurred during storage ?<br /><br />Any/all suggestions gratefully received,<br /><br />Regards, Brian
