Yamaha 4 stroke 60 HP Tilt Gauge fault

I have spent years in yachts, now trying stink boats! Bought a new Yamaha 60HP 4 stroke motor which runs beautifully but last day out I noticed the tilt gauge readout on my combined feature gauge had failed. The remote tilt control works perfectly, so does the tilt itself but the gauge on boat's dashboard shows only one horizontal bar across the full range of tilts, which should show from one to about six bars of readout depending on degree of tilt. Any suggestions on where I should start? Or should I just head for the workshop retailer?

Hi,
Since the outboard is new and under warranty just to let the dealer fix this problem.
Could be some easy electrical problem with wiring or actually a faulty guage (or something else), but that is the problem for the dealer to find out.

hello
usually a stuck sender due to lack of maint. however it maybe covered under warrenty. the electrical and cooling systems have different warrenty rules than the rest of the mechanicals.
good luck and keep posting
