Yamaha Digital Tach Wiring Layout

Hey guys.. any help here appreciated. I bought a used 2000 Yamaha 2 stroke 50hp. I then found the digital tach/trim on ebay for $50 brand new. Also found a new wiring harness for $20. So, I've got the parts, now have to put them together. In different years they changed the plugs, so everything isn't exactly "clear cut" as to which wires lead where. If anyone has a layout or other schematic it would help a ton!

Thanks, Cory

yea, i knew when i bought it the adapters were different, but i saved $300, so a little cut and splice is worth it. don't have a manual (which is obviously my problem), but, all i need is the wiring layout. thx, C

Re: Yamaha Digital Tach Wiring Layout

Yamaha does offer some adapters to plug up without cut and splice. Best I remember some of the smaller motors also required an adapter unit in line to make the tach work correctly. I have a feeling you didn't get everything you need to complete the job. Best spend some of that savings on a factory service manual first.
