A Cover Taylor Made for Your T-Top Boat
Protect Your Investment & Your Time
You love your T-Top boat, and your time out on the water with friends and family. And you love fishing and everything else your beautiful boat has to offer. We at Taylor Made get that. You don't own a boat to spend your valuable free time cleaning it or repairing damage caused by inclement weather or harmful UV rays. Your boat is a little (or big) piece of pride, joy, and fun in your life. So why wouldn't you cover your boat with a t-top boat cover?
A boat is more than just a point of pride. It's an investment. And, an expensive one at that. Taylor Made T-Top boat covers will help protect your gear, gauges, upholstery, and the boat itself from all that Mother Nature has to offer.
But it's more than that. You clean your vessel after a day on the water, right? You put it back on its trailer, lift, jet dock, or dry stack. Maybe there's some bad weather? Perhaps it's spring or fall, and there are falling leaves, pollen or other debris? Whatever the situation, the next time you're ready to get out on the water, why clean it all over again?
One person can install our covers in about 5 minutes, or faster if you have a friend to help.
When you get back from a day on the water, you don't want any time-consuming hassles. You want to wash-down your boat and cover it to keep it nice and clean for the next time you're ready to use it. If you can cover your boat quickly and with little effort, you're a happy boater. That's why Taylor Made carefully and purposely designs easy to install T-Top boat covers.
Lightweight Covers with Heavy Protection
These are big covers that protect large boats. So, we manufacture them from a durable, lightweight fabric to reduce total poundage and make them manageable when deploying around your vessel. The adjustable webbing straps and plastic side release buckles attach simply to your T-Top frame and add to the ease of installation.
Installation is a One-Person Job
In fact, our easy to install T-Top boat covers are a painless job for one person, especially if you own a center console boat. You can put them on alone from inside the boat, without the need to use ladders, get on, off, and on again, etc.
Quick & Painless Adjusting
The first time you install your custom fit Taylor Made cover, it will take you 25-30 minutes to get all of the buckles and straps adjusted for a nice, tight fit. But, the next time you put the cover on your boat after everything is adjusted, it will take you only about five minutes. And, if you have a little help, you can probably cut a minute or two off of that.
Covers Built with Ventilation in Mind
Not only are our covers easy to install but, because they attach under your T-Top, they provide ventilation and moisture evaporation. They also won't ruin any of the pricey accessories attached to your top.
T-Top Cover Construction
T-top boat cover construction using high-quality thread
When it comes to T-Top boat cover construction, Taylor Made considers every little detail. Here are just some of the reasons that our custom fit covers are the highest quality you will find for your center console, dual console, walk-around cuddy cabin, or bay boat.
Exceptional Sewing and Thread
We have a special sewing machine that uses serge stitching (or overlocked stitching). What does this mean? It means that the seams in our covers are stitched together with not two, not three, but five threads. It also means that, even though we use marine grade thread, those threads are never exposed to destructive UV rays from the Sun. That's because the serge stitching technique puts the threads on the underside of the cover, as well as leaving no raw edges to unravel.
Tough Hem and Rope
The hem around the bottom of the cover uses a two-needle stitching technique that also exposes no raw edges. It encloses a 5/16th-inch diameter rope that tightens the cover around your boat's hull. The polyester rope is mildew resistant and made to last. The hem also includes tie-down loops every 3-feet, leaving you plenty of options for securing your cover to a boat trailer.
Reinforced Webbing and Optional Tie-Down Straps
The 2" thick webbing straps have bar-tack stitching to add extra reinforcement that helps them withstand the pressure loads they need to support. The straps that cinch the cover to your T-Top, as well as the optional tie-down straps, will not pull out due to this bar-tack reinforcement. Additionally, they have quick release buckles that will allow you to take your top down fast when you're ready to hit the water.
Heavy 18-Gauge Vinyl
Does your T-Top boat have any accessories? No worries, we use really heavy 18-gauge vinyl at all the stress points where those accessories might be an issue. By using such a thick vinyl, we ensure that your cover will last for years.
T-Top Cover Fabrics
Why 100% Solution-dyed Polyester Is the Best T-Top Boat Cover Fabric
T-Top boat cover fabric being cut to exact specifications using digital CNC technology. These are custom fit T-Top boat covers. They use a lot of fabric and that fabric matters. Taylor Made has chosen three of the best fabrics on the market for this particular application.
Lightweight T-Top Boat Cover Fabric
Despite the glossy magazine ads touting solution-dyed acrylic canvas, it simply isn't the best T-Top boat cover fabric. It's heavy. It doesn't breathe. And, over time, the acrylic starts to both wear down and stretch. This creates pools of water that eventually leak through acrylic fabric boat covers. That's why Taylor Made T-Top covers
