I wouldn't say that the timing would change just idling at a lower rpm, but if it was stumbling, trying to stall out it would look like that. Might also be an issue f there is a slight vacuum leak

You can try another module if you have one

If you have funds to upgrade I would suggest Delco Voyager, which is normally called Delco EST that was used after TB stopped being used. That said the TB ignition is a very good system

How about the prop nut that acts like a potato shoved up a tail pipe and the only "action" pics are revving the motor at the dock and no offer of proof of "decreasing cavitation and focusing water flow from the exhaust"? It looks pretty. :facepalm:
