My tilt and trim pump quit working while I was on the lake. When I pulled it out of the water, I found out that the snap ring that holds the manuel release valves in the bottom of the pump had come loose and I lost all the valves, snap rings, and caps that hold them in. Can anyone help me find the parts that I need? Its a 1988 Force 125hp. Contact me here or by e-mail at brian_g484@hotmail.com HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Lost Tilt and Trim Parts In Lake.

Thanks Frroog, Two of my boys live in Lincoln. Whats sucks is that I just got the motor running perfect and then on the same day this happened, nothing new.I have checked with all the marine shops at Valley, Fremont, WoodCliff and they all tell me that those pumps are non-repairable, thats bull they just want to sell me a new pump. You siad your wife was from valley, I work in Valley at the new Ready-Mix Concrete plant.

I was going to suggest maybe a den of Cub-Scouts and some snorkel gear to help find your parts, but it probably is easier to just buy new...

You might try doing a search for used boat parts. I came up with all kinds that will ship also. I found a bunch of them in the panama city , fl area also. Panama marine is especially good and will ship. I found tilt motor there for a suzuki that was from 3oo to 900 bucks used and new, got it for 100. Good luck

You can e-mail me at clanton@atlantic.net as a last resort.Did it blow the shuttle valve out also? What is the valve worth to you?

Re: Lost Tilt and Trim Parts In Lake.

Clanton, If you mean the valve that sits in the back of the manual release valve body, no, it is still in the hole along with the cap and the snap ring on the back of the pump. As far as the price, I found a used pump w/motor for $100.00. A rough guess for the valve, cap, snap ring, $20 to $30. If Im wrong, let me know cause I need one real bad. Thanks for the reply.
