oil leaking from water intake ports and drain hole

Gotta 1976 chrysler 55 horsepower when i run it and shut it off oil starts to run out of the water intake ports of the lower unit. It runs out when the water is draining from the motor its looks dark and smells like my gas and oil mixture.Also it leaks out around where the lower unit is bolted together.After a few minutes it turns into a coffe color and keeps running out till eventually it stops.Any help on this problem will be greatly appreciated.I have had to rebuild my lower unit rebuild my starter new cables now this please help. Thanks!

seems like you have a build up around the motor mounts it is usually caused by trowling or running at low rpm. you should adress it soon as that stuff will eat up the motor mount and cause you big grief

mooncricket,<br /><br />As long as you do not have water in your lower unit. You're OK.<br /><br />You are seeing unburned fuel leak out of the exhaust tower (mid section).

i dont know had a mariner and I had a similar problem with buildup at the motor mount had to have it pulled apart cleaned etc
