Year of Force 125

I am trying to find out the year of my Force 125. It doesn't have a plate on it to identify it's year. The only thing I have found on it that might help is the part number of the power head but I'm not sure it will help. The part number is M555349. If there is another way to find this out, please let me know. It is an outboard, I believe around 1988. Please, help!

Try looking on the powerhead for a Welsh plug(Silver looking plug about the size of a quarter). It may have been painted over, so you may have to scrap it to see the numbers.
