Just a shot in the dark here, but have you tried replacing the sparkplug wire, or done a compression check?

Sounds like my 85hp Chrysler. If your cyl. is not getting spark try checking the resistance of the trigger unit. Mine drops #3 intermittently. I havent cured mine yet but it seems to be the trigger. I have switched everything and still #3 gets no spark. I tugged on the wires going to the trigger and it started running on all 3. You might try that too.

Re: WILL NOT RUN ON ALL 3 CYL.

Thanks to all! The plug wire is apart of the coil and can't be replaced. Today I was going to compression test it, however my earlyer thumb over the plug hole seamed to have compression even thou I just turned the flywheel by hand.
Yes I have moved the trigger wires when running and no change, also did a resistance test and that was fine.??????
Any more suggestions?

Imagine everything back as it was. The CD wire feeding #1, is to be assumed to malfunction. Now on the 2 CDs you have 3 wires are left. Those 3 wires are to power your 3 cylinders. You had a CD wire that was useable but not employed because its there for a 4th cylinder.
