A little while ago the alarm went off for high temperature impling water pump problems (since i sucked some sand up in it). The next day i was heading to the ramp to take it out and it ran fine so i thought the engine was just being finicky. The next day i noticed fuel shooting out of the bottom carb at idle but not at full open. Then i noticed low rpm in high neutral and eventually it would stall. I cleaned out the bottom carb with no improvement in the situation. I'm going to replace the water pump impeller once i get it out of the water. Does anybody have any advise before i pay somebody $75/hr? Thanks

welcome to iboats.com.
If you are dropping the lower unit for an impeller, drain/inspect/refill the l/u. Now is the least expensive time to do that.
Gas comming out of the carb means there is a mmissing screw, loose bowl, or float needle valve stuck in the open position.
