85 Hp Force Motor Mounts

I've got a 1986 85 hp force outboard. I have a cracked lower motor mount. The guy I have taken my boat to for repair in the past says I need to replace it right away because it may break my upper mount(s) and he said you can't get them any more. Anyone have any advice for replacing the lower mount and an idea if and where I can get top and bottom mounts.He wants $350.00 to replace the lower and I don't have it.<br />Thanks

There should be plenty of used ones out there in the parts/boat junkyards. Nothing is free though. You might get lucky and find someone with a blown up motor, maybe pick the hole motor up for a few bucks.

try this sight www.marinemotorparts.com they are a boat salvage. your mechanic needs to rethink his anwser of you cant get them amymore.how would he replace them if he couldnt get them?anyway i own the same motor and the guy at this salvage always seems to be able to find what i need.he also has a toll free number. 1-800-895-1480 his buisness hours are from 8am to 5pm centeral time but he seldom leaves imediatly and is always happy to help after 5pm if you catch him before he leaves.
