Has overheated several times, last time dealer
put in a new impeller. After 4-5 hours it overheated agin. I took it apart and the impeller was like new. I discovered that it does not
have a thermostat. Could this cause it to run
poorly and overheat?

Thanks Gary

In a word, absolutely. The Seloc manual devotes about 3 paragraphs to what happens if you run without a thermostat-none of them are good. You also have a water pressure relief valve in the water jacket that could be stuck. Hopefully, that won't be your problem. I think yours takes a 145 thermostat.
