what year is my boat motor ?

My neighbor just gave me a Chrysler 130 !!!!!! What year is it ? Model # 1307HA Serial # 2051 Gee .... hope it wasn't stolen or something . Any help you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated . Thanks.

Golly Gee that was fast !!!! Thank you very much . The motor looks great under the hood , it turns thru ok , I'm gonna pull the plugs and squirt some oil in it and put a battery to it and crank it over to see if there is any spark . The guy did say that it may have a bad ......uh ...sparker thingy .???? Thanks again.

oh yea , powerpac , thanks , anyway , I pulled the plugs and squirted some oil in the cylinders and turned it over .....no spark ....checked the points and waa laa they were corroded so bad that they weren't touching . cleaned them up and gapped them to .012 and now I have spark !!!!!! woo hoo !!!! I guess I don't hafta' worry about that powerpac now . :eek: I have the original book that came with the motor and it says nothing about spark gap so , i guessed ....would you happen to know what the points should be gapped at ? I'm gonna try to get some 50:1 gasoline to it tomorrow . Gotta go to work now. Thanks a lot for your help. :)

ok I'm back . the motor was backfiring only , so i checked the timiming and timed it the way i thought it should work . arrow on flywheel @ 0 degrees and a funny mark on the distributor lined up with the flywheel . -( kinda like that . IT CRANKED ! Now i'm trying to get cooling water to run through it . If I supply water to the foot with one of those clamp on thingies , and a water hose , shouldn't it squirt water out the highest hole in the motor exhaust ? I'm not getting any water to come out anywhere . I'm thinking it should be squirting out somewhere. running out some exhaust port or something . HELP

You are probebly best to test the pump in the lake rather than on muffs. Chryslers do not work that well with the muffs.<br /><br />You might need to do some work on the water pump, or a blown head gasket, or the T-Stat is bad.<br /><br />TMD
