I have normal water exhaust at idle and low rpm operation. But when running at high rpm's the exhaust is dry, and steams back to water when slowed down. Is this normal? I don't have a telltail either , is there a way to add one.

Pops, the water comes out the exhaust port on the upper part of the leg when at idle because the motor sits deeper in the water and it takes the path of least resistance. When hauling the water in the leg goes down and the majority of the water goes out the snout. Install a water pressure gauge. They work great. nevjb

Where/how do you add a water-pressure guage?

Pops, I have never put one there, but you can put one on the right side of the motor as you look at it from the front. At the bottom of the long flat plate that usually has a wiring diagram sticker on it, there is a plug. At this point you could put a pee hole draining to the port side of the motor. You can also install the water pressure gauge that I referred to. A water pressure gauge is a lot easier to watch than a pee hole. Wilkin 250 , if you reading this, you install the brass oulet at this point and run the rubber hose that comes with the kit. nevjb
