ANGRY AND CONFUSED!! NEED HELP

I have a 95 120 Force. I replaced the stator(with a brand new one). I checked the flywheel(there was nothing wrong with the flywheel, when stator died),started the engine and it ran fine. <br /><br />Took it to the lake, it ran good across the lake and back and then died!!<br /><br />I got it home and looked and it chewed the stator and one magnet was missing off the flywheel. Now I am lost and angry...CAN ANYONE HELP ME!!<br /><br />p.s-should I just buy a new stator again...and now a new flywheel!?!?! and hope for the best?? or is there something else wrong that I over looked???

It sounds to me like you lost a top main bearing. This is a serious problem. Check crankshaft for side play. Do you have a bunch of oil flung around the stator/flywheel area?

Im sure no expert on Force motors.But I believe <br />it is critical to torque the flywheel nut to the exact specs.Perhaps you didnt and the flywheel<br />wobbled.<br /> Flywheels do come apart spontaniously sometimes perhaps yours chose this unfortunate time to jab you.

Figuring the magnet was jarred somewhat loose, maybe by the vibrations of being removed and handled. Once the magnet came loose, it was hellbent on doing some damage.
