I have a 1994 Force 120 that was taken down to the block and completely rebuilt. Carb's were rebuilt and lower unit serviced. This was 11/03. I am on my third tank of gas and while riding at 4500 rpms after 2 hours of riding, the motor shut off instantly. The engine will turn over but it will not fire. I have checked to see if it's getting gas and it looks like it is. I was told that it could be an electrical problem due to the way it shut off immediately versus sputtering to a stop. I have visually checked all the fuses I could find and the wiring looks good. I took the black wire with the yellow stripe off of the block and tried to crank. Still nothing. Do you guys have any suggestions? Thanks!

These kinds of problems are are difficult at best to detect on the forum, Maybe someone can walk you through some electrical testing procedures for things like the stator, rectifier, ignition boxes and coils. Does the engine restart after it cools?

Mine did the same thing, ran fine, next thing I knew it just shut off, no noises nothing and wouldn't start at all, if you haven't changed the stator thats were I'd start, my switch box went out at the same time
