Hello, In my last post I was'nt clear, sorry about that. What I was wondering, will a stator and trigger assy. from a 90 or a 150hp force fit on a 120hp of approx the same year. I looked for part #s in the mega mall but none for 90, 120,150HP. Does anybody have a link or first habd knowlege. The cdi and coils are the same but thats all I seen. Thank you Ray

Re: re force parts

You should continue with your original thread instead of starting a new one for same problem. YOu need to post your model number for your motor so it can be cross referenced to other models.

Re: re force parts

You really have to be very specific on these things.

In case you didn't know, these motors were made up in many configurations, using many different parts that were stacked up in the warehouses.
As an example, Mercury Force made over 54 different models of the 90hp motor, between 1990 and 1999.

on a 120hp of approx the same year.
What year? The 1990 motors were very different from the 1992 motors.

In general, the 1989-mid year 1991 used the prestolite CD ignition. But the 1991E model still used the CD ignition.

The mid year 1991-1995 used the Thunderbolt CDI ignition.

The 1996-1999 used the CDM ignition.

You are going to need the model number, year, and on newer years the serial number, for both motors.
If you want to look some numbers up, here is the place to look:

http://www.mercruiserparts.com/selectModels2.asp?type_id=FORC
