I believe my 120hp 2 stroke US Marine Power L drive engine is taking water into the bottom cylinder thur the exhuast as well, but not sure how (coming in from the 3 exhuast ports on each side of the inside cylinder wall. Can you elaborate more on exactly how yours was taking on the water. Thanks. I relpaced the head gasket and compression is fine.

I am having the same problem with a 125 hp L drive. I just bought this boat for 800 with this engine problem , thinking I can replace it or fix it. Any information would be great.

i would make mech show me were the block is cracked or whatever is cracked.why did he do all this work in the first place thats what i dont understand.i do machine work i know if a cyc has water thats frist thing i look for is a crack.maybe you need a new mech.

You need a new mechanic, what he is telling you is slowly killing your engine. Outboards are made to run, Run it like ya stole it!!!

Do a compression test, if all is well then use it as it is. I think the man is trying to sell you something.

Well, I put my L Drive together and now it turns over but will not start?<br />What do you think it could be ( battery, ignition or what?)<br /><br />Thanks

THATS A GOOD BUY ON THE FORCE MOTOR.SOUNDS LIKE THE MOTOR IS IN GOOD SHAPE.SUZKI PARTS WOULD BE NO HIGHER THAN YAMMIE OR HONDA OR MERCURY I RAN INTO A GUY WHO SAID HE HAD A MERC.OPTIMAX SAID OIL WAS 27$ A GALLON THATS$$$$$$.ALL BOAT PARTS ARE$$$$$$$. DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!!!!!
