Pump is operating and pumps fluid to the single cylinder but the cylinder does not expand or contract. It appears as though the fluid is running continuously. Can that cylinder be rebuilt or must it be replaced if that is the problem? Thanks for your help. Bud

Either the cylinder has a bad seal or there is contamination in the the line. I found that a small amount of contamination will clog the check valve in the pump manifold.

If the cylinder is not moving at all, I suspect you hear fluid flowing through the internal pressure releif valve and the check valve has crud in it.

Remove the check valve, with a hex key, from the end of the pump manifold. You'll see a little dimple in the face of the plug you take out. That is the check valve. It should move easily when depressed with a piece of wire or paper clip.

If there is any dirt or discoloration to the oil, drain and replace it with straight 30 weight non-detergent oil.
