Simple question for the right person......I currently have a 5/16 fuel line on this engine. Is this the right size? Should it be 3/8? As always everybody has been tremendously helpful....Thanks again.....

5/16 is standard. 3/8 will work but will probably need good clamps to hold it on

Will it help having a 3/8 line? Does it make any difference in performance? Most replacements I have looked at are 3/8 should I go to this size or remain with 5/16. Thanks for the help....

Hey Catchalot,

Did you find and answere to your fule line size question yet? I have an 88 85HP and replaced all with 1/4 but now it doesn't reach 5500 rpm at full throttle. Just wondering if it is fuel starved by the smaller line and primer bulb.

Thanks,
Mike
