GOOD NEWS. . . . The PICTURE UPLOAD FUNCTION IS WORKING !!! The tech folks at the parent company have been able to remedy the issue. You can upload pictures once again. Thank you for your patience.
In the market for new 2001, 9.9 Honda 4stroke, electric ignition, tiller steering. Anyone have any suggestions where the "deals" are?? Haven't found much on web. thanks, Joyce
Might try a Boat Sport and Travel show in your area. Honda doesn't discount much. <br />They know people will pay good money for a Honda. I have a Nissan 9.9 Four-stroke. I bought it last October. Good motor for the money. Keep looking and good luck. They are one of the best.
I have been looking at new outboards in the 115-130HP range, with not much luck on the internet either. Let me know, please, if you find a good site. Good luck.
Leon- just thought i would let you know where we found the cheapest price for our HOnda 9.9... try calling Island Marine in Oceanside NY. They were $300.00 lower that the previous price we got. You can get their number from the Honda Marine site. Hope this helps. Let me know if it did. Good Luck... Joyce
Gerry- that is a great price but need extra long shaft. It was great that you checked it out.. by any chance do you remember<br /> which dealer was giving you that break?<br />thanks again. Joyce
I'm not sure if you are wedded to a Honda or where you are - I've been shopping for 9.9 4 strokes today and saw a new '99 Yamaha extra long shaft for $1,900 at Southport Marina in South Portland. <br />I am also wondering if people have suggestions of which 4 stroke would be best? I've looked at a Suzukis and Yamahas.
Marie- Don't want to say "married" but everywhere we look, people are telling us they have never had trouble w/ Honda and that is the way to go. So far, we are sticking w/ Honda.
Joyce,<br />I came across this guy on the net who seems to have very good pricing on Hondas.<br /> http://theoutboardguy.tripod.com/honda.htm <br /><br />Another source where I bought my Honda was Kenyon Powerboats. Their pricing on the smaller Hondas were similar to Merc's. <br /> http://www.kenyonpowerboats.com <br /><br />They used to have their pricing online but they're in the process of rebuilding their web site so the price screen now reads "coming soon". <br /><br />Good luck in your search.<br /><br /><br />------------------
