I use Firefox and thunderbird, no more spyware problems. The only thing I use IE for is updates cause MS wont let you use anything else.

Same here, I use Mozilla/Firefox. Loved it ever since I have downloaded it.

I don't understand why everyone has problems w/IE and Outlook. Now that I've said that I'll probably have trouble tonight, but I've used both since the Pope was a cub scout and haven't had problems.

Personally I don't care for the fonts in Foxfire/ Mozilla.
Also some sites don't display correctly either.

I've used Opera 7.2 for a while and thought it was pretty decent, but I've recently started using Opera 8 and it's pretty nice.

Don't know about the fonts in Foxfire, but in Opera you can change the standard fonts in the preferences menu.

Opera is out in ver 8.5 now , and they have removed the ad window.
After using Opera for some time, going back to ie feels just plain terrible afterwards.
Did I mention it was faster too?
www.opera.com

Here is my $.02. I have use both browsers and feel that Firefox (Fx) is far superior.

I did notice that the amount of adware decreased significantly after switching to Fx, Fx is also VERY configurable. If you want something changed, chances are it can be done. I also like the tab feature - it is by far my favorite feature.

Fx also allows allows you to skin it, and has a bunch 3rd party add-in extensions. These are things like a bandwidth meter, weather forecaster, and lots of others.

There will be some sites that won't work w/Fx. They are mostly those that use ActiveX. So don't get rid of IE. There is an Fx add-in that will allow you to open specific links with IE though.

Since it was brought up, Thunderbird is pretty good too.

Be sides being a way better overall browser which those of us who have used both already know.

Throw in the tabbed browsing and it's a no-brainer once the Microsoft backers/employees realize this they will switch forever also.
:) :)

I like firefox and opera... opera in the car so I can turn off images for faster downloading with my wireless internet. and Firefox at home for security.

IE sucks

Realgun... the reason mozilla doesnt display some pages properly is because a lot of the software gizmos for creating web pages... was made to supplement IE only. IE is a lil more forgiving for mistakes in html. When I write a web page I double check it with IE and Netscape so I know it appears proper with all browsers. Netscape requires you to write proper html or it wont come out like you want it to.

Just saying that so you know that mozilla is not at fault for a strange looking webpage... the webmaster is at fault for having incorrect html. :)
