yup, just got all tuned up(fun!!! and easy!)is mechanically fine! Just a few maint. items to add, new hoses,prob. replace tstat, wipers, get rear lights working(one out, not bulb) little stuff. Later when I CAN afford, a 350, 4bbl, and T350 tranny, or 700R4!

I would keep it simple! Keep it mostly stock maybe except for an ignition upgrade. A 283 is a great small block. I would hold off on the tranny until the powerglide just dies. Keeping it simple will mean easier maintenance.<br /><br />Have you seen LMC truck? http://www.lmctruck.com/ <br />A good free catalog with all the parts you might need.<br /><br />Bob

yup Bill, remember I told you Iwas there, had to be 2 or so summers ago? Caught that bass and an Oscar on my lunch hour! As usual, in "those" days of travel, NO freetime!!! And i also missed you when I was in Ocala, W. Palm and Orlando!!! I do NOT miss those crazy travel schedules! YUK!

Yeah for now I'm keepin it simple and if it aint broke(like me , LOL)Im not fixing it.I'll prob. go dual exhaust as I need to reweld old muffler back to pipe, and maybe an HEI unit as well.
