dielectric grease

When assembling such connections as ignition coil connections, why not use dielectric grease to help prevent corrosion?<br /><br />Any reasons not to use it on everything?<br /><br />Thanks.

:) :) :) <br /><br />I use the cheap little grey tube from autozone, it doesn't appear to be a very thick consistency, but I've never seen another type, what do you use?

presuming you don't have a direct spray of water on it, any of them will do. also available anywhere electrical supplies are sold, and hardware stores, etc. it's a common product. works good on children as sunscreen, too.<br /> :D
