So how do you open the numbers section on the right of the keyboard to use the computer as a calculator?

This is really dumb. I know, but I have never thought about it before! I mean, a computer can add and subtract, right?
Even quicker

Hold the windows key down (that is the key with the symbol of MS windows usually near the ALT key)

then hit the R key

that brings up the run window

Tomatolord
Or if you're planning on using it alot, just head to programs, accessories, Calculator and right click on Calculator and hit send to desktop(Create Shortcut). Then drag it down off the desktop to the taskbar for quick access...
"I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone. My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone." -- Bjarne Stroustrup, inventor of the C++ language.
