My #2 daughter just returned from 2 weeks in Honduras with her Navy Reserve Medical Unit.

They dispensed every sort of state of the art health care short of major surgery. Even vaccinated livestock and pets!

Dentistry, Eyeglasses (donated by Texans), Physical Therapy, vaccinations, treatment of chronic disorders, training of local MDs, nurses and practical nurses, etc, etc.

The rest of the world may gripe about, even hate the USA, but rural Hondurans love us. :)

Last year they went to Nigeria and did the same sort of thing, including setting up 2 rural clinics with supplies and trained personnel.

Let's see if the antis can find a way to criticize our President for that. :)

JB, tell your daughter "Thanks for serving". These are the sort of stories that seem to never show up in the main stream media.

Great news, JB. It must make you very proud to see your offspring doing such good things. Tell her "Thanks" and "Great job!"

Have done and will do, Jeff..

By the way, Alice is a grandmother and served 4 years in the regular Navy as an enlisted hand and 27 years as a reserve officer so far. She is Officer in Charge (OIC) of her Med Unit and should be full Commander this year. Then she gets to wear scrambled eggs on her hat. :)

Proud? There aren't words to say how proud I am.

Each of my 4 children are extraordinary people in their own special way.

I retired after 20 years of service in the USAF and can't help but marvel at the continued dedication and commitment of our armed forces. Thanks to all that continue to serve and godspeed on your way back. The country thanks you despite what the MSM anti american press says.
