My question is what is the difference in the pitches and what does the pitch number do for the boat. I just installed a 90hp force on my 21 boat were it recently had a johnson 115hp eng runs good boat seems a good bet slower and planes slow. I think i can change the prop and help things out but I do not know what pitch to go to. my pitch now is 11 and the old eng prop seems to have a lot more angle than the new one. Thanks for the help.

Re: prop pitches

What are your Wide OPen Throttle (WOT) rpm's with the current prop? rpm's determine your prop selection.

Re: prop pitches

If I read this right. You went to a smaller hp motor (90 hp) from a (115 hp) motor and your boat is 21 feet, and the prop on the 90 hp is 11p. I dont think you will plane it any faster than it is now, Im not an expert but the motor seems very small for a 21 foot boat.

Yes, i think the eng is a little small for the boat but all i do with it is fish and it is just temp untill i rebuilt the 115 power head I realy am just looking for more mph than i am anything out of the 90hp. I can lost about 15mph with the 90hp and i think the prop will help me out.Any feed back?

Pardon me for saying so, but you are going to be very disappointed in the performance loss.<br />The 90HP force put out about 75hP on a good day...you got alot of engine difference there.
