Lately when I start this outboard on a cold start, it misses very badly. Seems to run on one or two cylinders.

I've checked, cleaned and dried the plugs. No help.

I took off the wire sets and noticed coil barb detached on some, so I cleaned and reattached them adding some dielectric grease to help promote electrical conduction. Still no help.

The weirder thing is, it eventually clears up and once warmed up does not miss a beat. I mean, the miss disappears.

Last weekend it ran like a top after stumbling and missing badly from a cold start.

Anybody know what's wrong with it. I like the motor, had it since almost new (after one year old -- it was an OMC factory demonstrator).

Since the problem clears up as the motor temp increases, my first guess would be stuck open thermostat(s).

Possible moisture(Condensation) problem fouling the electrics up until warm....
